WHEN IN ROMANS: HOW DO WE MOVE FROM ADAM'S WORLD TO CHRIST'S WORLD?

April 15, 2018

GREG TAYLOR

In today's podcast, Greg explores with The Journey congregation how we move from the world of Adam to the world of Christ and what this means in practice for us today. During the sermon Quinn Fields reads Romans 5 and 6 and stays with Greg to interact about these texts.

This sermon is part 2 of a new series called, "When in Romans," and the title comes from a book by Beverly Roberts Gaventa. Greg Taylor draws from 30 years of reading Romans and studying with scholars like James Walters, Rick Oster, and researching in original Greek and the context of Rome, where he has visited twice and seen ancient ruins. Greg also draws from sources such as N.T. Wright and what some might call the new perspective on Paul, which is in brief form the understanding that Paul is writing as a Jew who is not trying to establish a new sect but trying to bring together Jews and Gentiles into one new Israel through faith in the resurrected Messiah Jesus.
